30 Aug A revolution in building roads
The PlasticRoad project of the Dutch company VolkerWessels is an intelligent way to transform non-biodegradable plastic waste. They are crushed and then compacted to create modular plates. Prefabricated in the factory, these plates are then assembled on site, as a construction game.
These roads would have a life expectancy 2 or3 times longer than a regular road, the contruction is simple, effective, cheaper and easier to repair.
